Mac Forbes "RS19" Riesling Strathbogie Ranges 2017

From the wonderfully named Strathbogie Ranges comes this impossibly delicious Riesling. The Ranges are known for wines with high acidity – balanced here by the well-integrated residual sugar which also gives the wine some weight. Extra concentration comes from ungrafted vines planted in 1983, as well as native yeast and some lees ageing. Lots of lemon, lime, and peach aromas as well as a smoky, mineral texture. Complex, expressive, and extremely drinkable.
