Luigi Giordano Asili Barbaresco 2014

Barolo often gets much of the credit for great Nebbiolo, but Barbaresco should not be overlooked, especially in certain vintages. Barolo had a tough go at 2014 while there were pockets of Barbaresco such as Asili that received amazing growing conditions. The southwest facing slopes give us a wine with meaty flavors of prosciutto, tar, roses, and spices. The body of the wine is light and delicate with a subtle power and depth.
