From a one acre vineyard in Coombsville, with a little bit of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc from warmer Calistoga. The moderate climate and volcanic soils of Coombsville give the wine its layers of wild berries, violets, sage, pomegranate, black tea, and blackcurrants. While the fruit is ripe and soft, the earthier, savory flavors of leather, dark cigar and raw cocoa keep this wine in the upper echelon of wines, but at a very affordable price.
