Half Primitivo, half Negroamaro from Puglia, the heel of the Italy boot. The very warm weather and the very ripe 2015 vintage make for a red with lots of ripe, liqueur-like berry flavors with a smidge of truffle, fresh violets, cocoa and black pepper flavors. Medium acid, low tannins, big flavor, huge value. Briefly aged in French oak (barrique).
