Les Saint Martin "Les Roches Seches" 2015

Grolleau is a grape commonly used for rosé in the Loire, but a small band of producers are taking the variety more seriously. This small-production wine is made by three friends with very little intervention – indigenous yeast, all neutral oak. An earthy, old-school nose with strawberries, raspberries, red cherries, roses, and violets, held together by chalky tannins and great acidity. We hope more producers try to make Grolleau like this.
