Leaf & Vine Merlot "Thomson Vineyard" Napa Valley 2012

Hillside vineyard near the southeast corner of Napa Valley (highway 121 north out of Napa). Intense flavors, dark and ripe berry fruits, healthy tannins. And, most important to us, it expresses the Merlot grape really well. Freshly turned earth, red curry and truffle notes from nose through its 30 second finish. Lamb Tagine a delicious and unique match with it.
