60% Grenache, 20% each Syrah & Carignane, all old vines. Vineyard juuuust on the other side of the Chateauneuf border, thanks to the previous owner’s fear (back in 1923) that inclusion in the CdP zone would mean higher taxes. Rumor has it he brandished a rifle to make his point. The terroir is all there: galets over sand and clay. Tastes like it too: bright red fruits, meaty, garrigue… classic.
