Lang & Reed Napa Valley Chenin Blanc 2017

Believe it or not, back in the 1960s Chenin Blanc was the most planted grape in Napa. Today, there are fewer than 6ha. Lang & Reed source theirs from Oak Knoll, where the cool breezes from the bay keep Chenin’s acidity high. Riper and fruitier than a Loire equivalent, with apples, pears, lemons, and peaches as well as Chenin’s characteristic honeycomb aromas. Great texture on the well-balanced, refreshing palate.
