Ladieras do Xil Gaba do Xil Mencia Valdeorras 2016
Made up of 70% Mencia and 30% Merenzao planted in red clay and slate. Organically farmed, harvested by hand, and fermented with native yeasts. High elevation and Atlantic influence keep the fruit fresh and light. Red cherry, strawberry, red roses, and expressive sloe berry. Savory notes of tobacco, black-trumpet mushrooms, and wet clay gives earthy aromas while the wine has a well preserved acidity from the cool-climate and rugged granite soils.
