La Torre Brunello di Montalcino 2011
Only 0 left
A newcomer to the Italian wine scene, La Torre's first vintage was just in 1982! Their Estate Sangiovese Grosso (with a smidge of Ciliegiolo and Alicante) are destemmed, tank fermented then barrel aged (17% in barrique). "Very pretty, expressive wine, with just enough freshness and nuance to balance the overtness of the year. Sweet red cherry, plum, rose petal mint and spice are laced together in a super-appealing, mid-weight Brunello." Galloni for Vinous, February 2016.
