La Grande Roche Cabernet Sauvignon Napa 2018

This is the second wine from Napa legend Ric Forman, aptly named after the pink and gray boulders at the base of the vineyard on Howell Mountain. As the label suggest, this is much more of an old world style; less fruit and  more earth driven. Licorice, black currants, herbs, tobacco and cedar are the star of the show. With the same attention to detail as his estate Cabernet Sauvignon ($120), this is a steal at this price.
