La Coume du Roy Maury Blanc 2010
It’s unusual to find a white Maury – one of the great villages in southern France for fortified wine. The grape is Grenache Blanc and the wine is aged 6 years in barrel, giving it an amber color as well as powerful oxidative aromas of almonds, hazelnuts, wax, dried flowers, dried herbs, and sweet spices, followed by a rich, viscous palate with a long, warming finish. Drink this with cheese!
