Kuentz Bas Pinot Noir Alsace 2019

The grapes for this wine were fermented in foudre for up to three weeks, but you’d never know based on its light color alone. A swirl and a sip, however, will reveal lots of forested notes, mushrooms and cola along with sweet hints of cranberry and stewed cherries. Well-structured for a Pinot at this price point, it’s a refreshing yet savory selection of subtle acid and attractive tannins that fade quietly to the finish.
