84% Petite Sirah, 13% Syrah, 3% Viognier. All from "Shake Ridge Vineyard" in the Sierra Foothills (near the town of Jackson). Fantastic combination of power and approachability. Smells of blackberry liqueur, clove, lavender, citrus oil and tar. Taste is a KA-BOOM of deep, dark fruit, cola, black pepper, dark chocolate, five spice and blueberry pie. 290 cases made. Owned/made by Napa couple Helen Keplinger (the winemaking "magician") and DJ Warner.
