Keplinger Hangman's Syrah Napa 2016

This Syrah is all about Northern Rhône; 5% Viognier co-ferment, with sweet and savory notes of BBQ meats, bacon, dark fruits of black cherry, Chinese plum, tobacco and tar. The grapes themselves come from a Hudson Vineyard that is located next to a tree with a dark past. After 27 days on the skins, the free run was drained to a combination of 500L and 228L French Oak barrels (65% new) for 18 months of elevage before being bottled without fining or filtration.
