Keever Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley, 2014

Estate Cabernet from hillside vineyards in Yountville, west side. Celia Welch, rock star winemaker (Scarecrow, Corra, Barbour, more). 2 years in 75% new French oak. Rich and supple, this is a great example of what the 2014 vintage does best. Ripe red and black berries, black plums, pipe tobacco, mocha and a whiff of mint on the long, decadent finish. Enough structure to cellar for 10 years or more, smooth enough to drink now.
