Kanzler Pinot Noir Russian River Valley 2018

The Kanzler family have been farming grapes near Sebastopol since the mid-1990s, pioneering plantings near Sonoma’s coast. Their wines continue to excel, as this Russian River blend of four vineyards, mostly their own estate, demonstrates. There’s a lushness to the red fruits on the nose which is warm and inviting, while on the palate there’s a lean, gently tannic structure which gives the wine grip and concentration. This is high-class Pinot.
