Kalin, famous for releasing their wines at full maturity, when UMAMI is at its height. The SB is from the gravelly soils and windy environs of Livermore Valley. Vines date back as far as the 1880s with Chateau d'Yquem cuttings. Healthy acidity keeps the wine alive. Dried citrus peel, seaweed, grapefruit extract, dried mushroom...20% Semillon. 50% new French oak aged, sur lie.
