The W is for "Wente Estate." Burgundy clone of Chardonnay was planted on this spot around 1900. Barrel ferment in 50% new French oak, aged for 10 months, bottled, aged almost 20 years and just released. (The Kalin Way). Rich, powerful Chardonnay balanced by a stony-earthy side.
