The village of Condrieu may have been put on this earth for one reason and one reason only…To grow the world’s best Viognier. This offering from Julien Pilon is textbook with an “affordable” price tag to boot.  More minerals, less fruit. Wet rocks, blanched almonds, nectarines, caramel and flowers. The acidity is sneaky, as it slowly builds, only showing up on the backend, but  it lingers for minutes.
