Jolie Laide North Coast Syrah 2016

New wine from Jolie Laide, blending mostly two Yorkville Highlands vineyards, both of them high elevation. Hawks Butte adds density and fruit, while Halcon a brooding earthiness. Fermented whole cluster for fresh, floral, herbaceous aromas with blackberry and black cherry, drying tannins, a chocolate core, and high acidity. All old, neutral oak for ten months – this is about the purity of the fruit.
