Unusually, this comes from four clones of organically-farmed 45 to 80-year-old Gamay vines – Gamay Noir, Gamay de Chaudenay, Gamay de Bouze, and Gamay Fréau. It goes through carbonic maceration and is then aged in demi-muid. The result is a dense, concentrated wine with juicy aromas of strawberry, red cherry, pepper, and clove and a palate that has a tight, firm grip. An unusually good Mâconnais Gamay.
