Jean Foillard Beaujolais Village 2020

Jean Foillard was part of the “Gang of Four” that focused on natural wine making, influenced by Jules Chauvet going back to 1981. Built on a base of silky texture and a seductive aromatic component, this wine has fruit that is reminiscent of cherry pie, blueberries, red currants, and a slight smokiness. Floral pastille and licorice nuances emerge with aeration and carry through finish, which features easygoing tannins and resonating floral and mineral character.
