Jamard Belcour Lussac Saint-Emilion 2018

Vigneron Franck Despagne traces his lineage in Saint-Emilion back to 1665, so it is safe to say he is rooted in the region. The Lussac-Saint-Emilion is from the northern most satellite in the region Lussac, where the soils are predominantly clay and limestone. The blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc shows blackberries, plums, leather and herbs. It’s earthy with a polished mid-palate, full-bodied and drinkable now.
