Jacob Franklin Zinfandel “Morisoli Vineyard” Rutherford 2019

There are few rows of gnarly head-trained Zinfandel vines in the Morisoli Vineyard hanging on for dear-life as Cabernet Sauvignon threatens their existence.  The winemaker grew-up playing amongst these vines. Big and ripe fruit which never even thinks about crossing the line to jammy.  Dark plums, roses, violets, cherries and licorice cover the breadth of the tongue.  Rich and smooth, showing brightness, and a warmly welcomed lightness.
