J.L. Chave Selection Offerus Saint Joseph 2017

The vineyards used for Offerus are located in two distinct St. Joseph areas. The communities of Mauves, Tournon, and St. Jean de Muzols yield over 80% of the blend and are owned by Jean-Louis.  An approachable and elegant style out the gates by "Chave" standards with blackberry turnover, black cherry, plum, leather, smoked meats, and roasted figs.  The oak comes through on the finish with cedar box, damp wood, and a silky but persistent finish.
