Impetuous by Checkerboard Red Blend Napa 2020

Impetuous is a combination of the four different vineyards from the Checkerboard property on Diamond Mountain. A blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Petit Verdot. Bright fruits of Medjool dates, figs, black cherries, black currants and mountain herbs go along with leather tobacco and bay leaf. The oak aging is prevalent, yet juicy tannins and fresh acidity keep the wine vibrant and spunky.  Built to be enjoyed now or many years down the road.
