Hudelot-Baillet Bourgogne Passetoutgrains 2018

Passetoutgrain is not found in the states often, but it is the perfect compromise of Pinot Noir and Gamay grown in Burgundy. This is 2/3 Gamay (Gilly-les-Citeaux) and 1/3 Pinot Noir (Chambolle-Musigny) aged in mostly tank, but a small portion sees oak.  Darker than expected in the glass with black cherry, ripe black plum, dark flowers and a hearty structure.  The wine blossoms with air, showing baking spices, soft red fruits, and juicy acidity on a cleansing finish.
