Hourglass "HG III" Napa Valley Red Wine 2022

Multiple layers of fruit are coaxed out of the glass by winemaker Tony Biagi. Mostly Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah. This is very much Napa in style with bright blackberries and blueberries, earthy notes, herbs, and forest floor. Dark fruits, cocoa powder from 16 months in French oak, figs and fine tannins allow this wine to show its depth and concentration. This is a big wine that can stand up to big food, but its silky-smooth texture allows it to hold its own all by itself.
