Hirsch Riesling "Zobing" Kamptal 2014

Terraced vineyards surrounding the longtime wine-producing Kamptal village of Zöbing. Austrian Rieslings are often sharp-edged and aggressive (not that there's anything wrong with that), but this charts a different course. Get tropical notes of ripe guava and pineapple along with yellow apples, peaches, and a medley of fresh herbs. Crisp acidity, light body, but rounder than you'd expect. Delightful!
