Made two hours north of New York in Hudson Valley, this was the first ever Bourbon to be aged using the solera system, as practiced for sherry. It's aged in 20-year-old oloroso casks, which helps give the whiskey a smooth, round mouthfeel. The nose is beautiful, with a hint of opulence and irresistible aromas of clove, vanilla, caramel, grain, raisins, dried apricots, char, and brown sugar. An astonishingly smooth, complex, and balanced Bourbon.
