Hesperian Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2010

“Pauillac in Napa” is how we like to think of this wine: on opening it is soil-driven like a good left bank Bordeaux, with graphite and amaro leading the way. With a long decant, the whole array of Cab flavors emerge: cassis, tart cherry, mocha, lavender, tobacco, cedar and cloves sing in harmony. 26 months in 2/3 new French oak. Best drinking probably 2022-2030. 300 cases.
