Grape growers turned winery, making classic Cabernet Sauvignon from their own high-elevation vineyards on Howell Mountain. Michael Trujillo makes the wine: complex, restrained, balanced, and sophisticated, with deep, lasting aromas of blackcurrants, violets, tarragon, tobacco, cigar box, coffee, and black pepper, with firm, gripping tannins. Just 300 cases made. Decant and drink now, or, if you can, hold for another 10-15 years.
