Henri Delagrange Volnay VV 2015

From the ripe 2015 vintage the Delagrange family has produced a rich and supple wine from their four-acre parcel in Volnay. Black cherries with none of the tart red fruits that are often found from the region. Some floral notes make up the nose, but the wine is not all lush and gregarious. There is a strong backbone with a long and sneaky finish that appears to dissipate but never really fades. Very charming.
