Best known for their Chardonnay, Heintz has 3 acres of Syrah planted on their cool coastal vineyard. About half Chave Hermitage cuttings. Smell and taste ripe blueberries, cocoa, lavender, black raspberries, olives and black pepper. Very Rhone. Exceptional richness, medium acidity, low oak, 30 second finish of spicy Syrah pleasure. Great match with lamb.
