Family vineyard at the base of the Mayacamas in St Helena. "Field Select" is Hayfork's 3 barrel (60 case) production "Reserve" Cab. Their darkest, densest fruit comes from this block selection. Aged in all new French oak, 2% Petit Verdot. Smell and taste spicy cherry liqueur, Amaro (without the bitter), black olives, cedar closet, tobacco, curry spice, pomegranate syrup. Very complex, intense and quite spicy for an awesome, high end Napa Cabernet Sauvignon.
