Fruit comes from Carneros; it’s then barrel fermented after a slightly oxidative crush that suits Chardonnay. It goes through malolactic fermentation before a year’s ageing on the lees in 20% new French oak. The result is a rich but balanced Chardonnay that’s creamy and tropical with aromas of yogurt, cheese, pineapple, mango, and melon and a very fresh, engaging palate that lifts the wine. Great example of California Chardonnay.
