This tiny producer focuses on Anderson Valley, Mendocino wines. (Their name Halcon means Falcon...in honor of the Falcon that looks over their Estate vineyard in Mendocino's Yorkville Highlands.) "Oppenlander" is ten miles from the coast & the town of Mendocino. Boasts a pretty nose of pink roses, pomegranate, wild cherry, incense & forest floor. Taste more of the same with light tea and spice notes too. Opens up like a champ. One hour decant is highly recommended. Medium/high acidity, gentle tannins. Best drinking 2018-2023. 165 cases made.
