Guy Breton Côte de Brouilly 2016

A founder of the ‘Gang of Four’ Beaujolais producers who refuse to use chemical fertilizers or pesticides on their fields. 60 year old Gamay vines from a 1.5 acre plot of flinty soil. Unfined, unfiltered, minimal sulfur. Tremendous purity of fruit here: raspberries, pomegranate. Stony freshness and refreshing acidity. Not the bubblegum normally associated with carbonic maceration.
