Gro Chardonnay Haspel Vineyard Mt. Veeder 2020

This is good, medium bodied, California Chardonnay. From a single vineyard on Mt. Veeder whose aspect faces in three different directions to capture the cooling effect of San Pablo Bay, but also the sunshine of Napa Valley. Aged in 15% new French oak for one year with lees ageing – but no MLF to keep the wine’s freshness. Tropical aromas of banana, mango, and melon, as well as perfume and white flowers, with cream and biscuit from the lees, and a lingering, crispy finish.
