The Napa Valley just does not grow Pinot Noir as well as our neighbors in Sonoma, but there is a pocket in Carneros that is in Napa County that has cool enough weather for a perfectly slow maturation of the delicate grape. Cherry cordials, pomegranate, dried roses and cocoa powder are wrapped in a silky mouthfeel of soft tannins and well-rounded acidity. This is what Napa Pinot Noir should taste like!
