Gro Cabernet Sauvignon "Henry Brothers Vineyard" Howell Mountain, Napa Valley 2016

Made by Saddleback’s winemaker Lars Bjorkman, the fruit coming from Henry Bros vineyard on Howell Mountain, with 1% Petit Verdot to give the wine a subtle backbone. The wine is aged in 66% new French oak to give the wine well-integrated firm, grainy tannins and a smoky, peppery texture. Aromas of blackcurrant, black cherry, vanilla, and leather on the restrained but expressive nose. Just 80 cases made of this balanced, concentrated, and ageworthy Cabernet. A textbook example of mountain fruit.
