Goisot Bourgogne Cotes D’Auxerre Rouge 2019
This wine is essentially a Chablis rouge with the Côtes D'Auxerre being right next door to Chablis and it shares similar Kimmeridgian and Portlandian limestone soils. More velvety, not as powerful as Côtes D'Or, but it's amazing the Pinot Noir gets ripe enough at all. Savory, meaty, wet leaves, marjoram, figs, plums, earth, black cherry, and soft, ripe tannins. Goisot keeps cranking out under-the-radar wines that consistently over deliver.
