Gini Recioto di Soave Classico DOCG 2010

It’s not often you encounter Recioto di Soave outside the region, so it’s a pleasure to have a great example of this historic sweet wine in the shop. The grapes are Garganega, and they’re dried for over three months to concentrate the sugars. The result is a rich, complex wine full of flowers, dried fruits, apricot jam, orange peel, mamalade, almonds and hazelnuts, the sweetness balanced by Garganega’s naturally high acidity.
