Gilles Robin "Cuvee Alberic Bouvet" Crozes-Hermitage 2016

“Cuvée Alberic Bouvet” – named after the producer’s grandfather who planted the vineyard back in 1946. An inviting nose, with a nice ripeness to the black fruit aromas – think homemade blackberry jam – as well as meat, game, and ground black pepper. From 2016, it’s still quite serious on the palate, with a grainy, spicy mouthfeel. A winning combination of immediacy and longevity. Drink now-2028.
