“MEMOIRE de MADONE”
This Gamay, more specifically Gamay Saint-Romain is sourced from the volcanic soils of the Côtes du Forez, technically in the Loire Valley but geographically west of the Rhône in the Massif Central. It shows Syrah-like characteristics with dark and earthy characteristics from the basalt rich soils. The grapes thicker skins lend plums, chocolate truffle powder, blackberries and smoky minerals. The perfect BBQ wine showing the grapes juicy side while also showing a certain darkness to its depth.
