Gilles Barge Cote Rotie "Cuvee du Plessy" 2013

A blend of fruit from the domaine's 3 Cote Blonde lieux-dits, about 5% Viognier. Traditionally produced: whole cluster ferment, aged in neutral demi-muids (600 L), unfined & unfiltered. As expected from Cote Blonde Syrah, this is a softer, more "elegant" style of Cote Rotie. Smell & taste ripe blueberries, black/red currants, smoked beef, Kalamata olives, black licorice.
