Gerard Seguin "La Place" Fixin 2015

Tiny 1ha vineyard in the heart of the Fixin appellation just north of Gevrey-Chambertin. At half the price, the wines share the power of that great village, balanced by subtlety and finesse. This wine is full of complexity, smoky and meaty with rich, forward red and black fruits, cloves, sage, and tapenade, finished off with a serious, grippingly tannic palate. Great with meat and game, with a decade’s ageing potential.
