Georges Lignier et Fils Bourgogne Passetoutgrain 2022

An underrated wine classification, Passetoutgrain seemingly combines the best of both worlds when done correctly. This one from Georges Lignier is sourced from three Morey-Saint-Denis plots, it is 2/3 Pinot Noir and 1/3 Gamay. The aromas bounce out of the glass with ripe berries, red cherries and pretty floral qualities. While it is fruity up front, the theme changes towards the back of the palate with cedar box, mushrooms, pine forest and orange zest.
