Francois Lecompte 1er Cru Brut Champagne 2013

The estate was founded in 1876 in Founded back in 1876 in the Montagne de Reims village of Rilly, this small estate has been farmed/owned by the Lecompte family since day one.  A blend of 40% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir, and 30% Pinot Meunier with a minimum of 7-8 years of aging and 6 g/L dosage. This creates a perfectly balanced level of dryness and richness. Light brioche, lemon curd, soft tangerine, peach and shortbread.  The price of this vintage Champagne is literally shocking.
